Funny. I don't think this is what my parents had in mind when they bought the karaoke machine. My parents were out of town for my cousin's wedding in Chicago and Myleen and I saw this as a prime opportunity to throw one of those "the 'rents are out of town" parties. We were such good kids growing up, we never would have done this in high school. But now that we're older and completely over "following the rules" we decided this was the best time to do it. So picture this...the evening starts out early...people start trickling in to the house. First, people are gathered at the bar. They mix drinks and start dancing under the disco ball. Then they notice the karaoke book. (Insert: Angellic chorus.) All of a sudden the party becomes mesmerized by the karaoke machine. "WE MUST SING," they chant. The mics are out and people are singing their hearts out, wanting to be the next American Idol. (And need I remind you all that there is alcohol involved? Um, yeah.) From I'll Make Love to You to Total Eclipse of the Heart to Bohemian Rhapsody, things get crazy and all of a sudden there are a bunch of shirtless boys in my parents' living room singing You Give Love a Bad Name. It was awesome. I think my parents should go out of town more often. And the clean up wasn't too bad at all either...except for a clogged bar sink...gross. When my other sister came home, she tells Myleen, "Good job with the clean up. In fact, it looks cleaner now than when they left." Haha. I love it.
Footnote: I know what you're thinking...you shouldn't post this on the internet...they might find out...you have pictures up for goodness sake! But you don't know my parents. They hardly even know how to turn on the computer. Really, I don't care if they find out. I dare them to find out. Muahahahaha!
